Bandipora, Feb 22 (KNO): The government forces on Saturday evening launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Gundpora village of north Kashmir's Bandipora district.

Official sources told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that joint teams of Army’s 14 RR and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off the Gundpora village and launched door to door searches in the area. “House to house searches are being conducted in the area.

There are inputs about presence of militants in the area,” they said. The deployment of forces has blocked all the entry and exit points of the area and searches were going on when the report was last filed. (KNO)
